I connect them, power up the unit, let it warm up and try to switch from Stand-by to TX, it says No Heading Pulse and No Bearing Pulse. If your antenna was spinning (when out of St-By) you would hear it, especially at the closest distances where it spins faster. I always know when mine is spinning, even in the cabin.
